Blue and cooler light are preferable when attempting to perform a particularly analytical activity, whereas warm light with pleasant light bulbs is preferable when you are hanging out with friends and resting.

    Therefore, warm light should be used in the living and dining areas, whereas cool light may be preferable for a home office. People bring in candles for dinner gatherings because they provide a cozier light. 

    Plus, make sure you open the drapes during daylight hours and keep the windows clear to let the sunlight in. Our mood benefits greatly from natural light.
